What is the KYD Program?

The Rugpull Prevention KYD Program is a tool our community can use to get a closer look at new projects on the Avalanche Network. We take small steps with projects to help them establish community confidence in their projects.

Does this mean they are our partners?

We do not endorse these projects, nor is Rugpull Prevention associated with them in an official capacity. Projects showcased in our KYD program are being given the opportunity to present themselves to our community with information gathered from questions asked by the Rugpull Prevention team and people that join the AMA.

Is it possible one of these projects will end up as a scam?

It is always possible that one or more of these projects may end up being a scam. Rugpull Prevention encourages all potential investors of new projects to conduct their own research and stick to their own predetermined investment plans.

The purpose of the KYD program is to help gather and present some of the information needed to make informed investment decisions. We will only showcase projects that are willing to conform to certain security standards and who are looking to make positive contributions to the Avalanche Network ecosystem.

Is this an Audit?

No, being showcased in the Rugpull Prevention KYD program is not an official audit.

The information presented in each project's KYD profile is for educational purposes only and as a way for the Rugpull Prevention community to familiarize themselves with new projects.

How does Know Your Developer work?

For this program we will introduce projects to our community and take steps with them so they can gain recognition and confidence from investors.

Step 1

Rugpull Prevention will initially research the project. We will create a page on our website that highlights basic information about the project. This will include an overview, then a detailed description that dives a little deeper.

Step 2

We host a Telegram voice AMA. We will require the voice AMA as part of the program. We feel like connecting with our community in this way can really help build confidence.

Step 3

We add a recording of the voice AMA to our website along with a summarized article.

Step 4

After the project has been launched for at least 1 month, we will then revisit the project and perform a Detective score. Our Detective score grades aspects of a project such as community, communication and much more. Our Rugpull Prevention community will also have a better understanding of the projects and will be able to vote with a more educated opinion.
